• M&A Deal of the Year 2009, Asian Counsel. Orrick advised Gmarket Inc., Korea’s largest e-commerce provider, in eBay’s all cash public tender offer for up to 100 percent of Gmarket for US$1.2 billion.
• Real Estate Deal of the Year 2008–9, Asian Legal Business and Asian Counsel. Orrick advised Lehman Brothers Asia and JP Morgan in a real estate acquisition financing transaction.
• Capital Markets Deal of the Year 2008, China Law & Practice, in association with IFLR1000. Orrick advised the underwriter on the initial public offering of Shandong Chenming Paper Holding Limited. This deal also received a deal of the year nomination from International Financial Law Review.
• Contribution Award 2008, Chinese Lawyer. Orrick was the only foreign law firm to be honored with this award which recognized our contribution to the development of law in China and the promotion of Sino-foreign exchange.
