Meet Orrick

Orrick's commitment to diversity is part of the firm's DNA. Meet some of Orrick's leaders who are active in firmwide efforts, as well as in legal industry initiatives.

lawyer photoI. Neel Chatterjee is a Silicon Valley litigation and intellectual property partner. He is the leader of the Community Responsibility and Diversity Committees for Orrick's Silicon Valley office. He sits on the board of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, is active in the California Minority Counsel Organization, and has spoken before numerous organizations concerning diversity in the legal profession. Neel also engages in substantial pro bono work for the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

lawyer photoKatharine Crost is a New York structured finance partner who serves as chair of the firm's Women's Career Initiative. She is former co-head of the firm's Structured Finance Group and a former member of Orrick's Executive Committee. Kathy's practice involves representing issuers, underwriters, institutional purchasers and credit enhancers. Kathy leads an annual luncheon for women lawyers and summer associates in the New York office.

lawyer photoJoseph Evall's practice is focused on chemical, biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent litigation and counseling as well as commercial litigation. A New York intellectual property and litigation partner, he serves as deputy chair of the firmwide Diversity Committee for lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) matters and is actively involved in the New York office's Diversity Committee. He also serves on the board of directors of the New York City Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project.

lawyer photoFelicia Graham is a structured finance partner and the partner-in-charge of our Washington D.C. office. She is also actively involved in the firm's Associate Review Committee. Felicia concentrates her practice on public finance, structured finance and bank regulatory matters.

lawyer photoLynne Hermle is a Silicon Valley employment partner. Lynne is a member of Orrick's Executive Committee and is head of the firm's Silicon Valley Employment Group. The National Law Journal recently named Lynne one of America's "Top 50 Women Litigators". She has repeatedly been named one of Silicon Valley's "Top 300 Lawyers" by San Jose Magazine. Lynne is an active member of the firm's Women's Career Initiative.

lawyer photoDora Mao is a structured finance partner and serves as the West Coast chair of the firm's Professional Development Committee. Dora is active on the firmwide Diversity Committee and currently serves on the board of directors of the Girl Scouts of the San Francisco Bay Area.

lawyer photoLorraine McGowen co-chairs the firm's Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Group and is the partner-in-charge of the firm's Diversity Committee. Lorraine is a member of the board of legal advisors for Legal Momentum (formerly NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund) and the board of legal advisors for Legal Outreach, Inc. (a nonprofit legal education organization providing law-related educational programs to at-risk students in New York City neighborhoods). She represents creditors' committees, bondholder committees and creditors in complex bankruptcy cases, corporate restructurings and recapitalizations, receivership and other insolvency matters as well as purchasers of assets from distressed companies.
