The Global Operations Center (GOC) is the hub of the firm’s day-to-day administrative operations and home to key members of the firm’s client services teams. No other firm has a 24/7 in-sourcing facility that rivals it. The GOC provides the firm and its clients with a central business infrastructure that delivers comprehensive and reliable support services around the world, around the clock. Through world-class GOC resources, Orrick’s clients and case teams are efficiently and effectively supported by Orrick’s vast legal database, compliance systems, discovery technology, data analytics and document review teams.
Among technology functions, the GOC is home to the firm’s network operations center, internationally recognized Service Desk, software applications support, and web engineering team. Core GOC finance functions include global taxation, general ledger, billing and collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. In addition to supporting the GOC’s HR needs, the Human Resources team also handles firmwide benefits, compensation and HRIS administration.
Other support services, including Global Corporate Solutions, Litigation/eDiscovery, Business Development/Marketing, New Business & Conflicts, Knowledge Management and Lawyer Development are integral to the firm’s daily operations. Along with the professional staff services, the GOC houses over one hundred lawyers and legal professionals who support client engagements and case teams across our practice offices.
