Founded in 1993 and located on the famous Kurfürstendamm, the Berlin office quickly became one of the most recognized law practices. The seat of the German Parliament and the location of most of the country’s regulatory offices, Berlin has recently emerged as an important center for Germany’s real estate industry.

In 2008, Orrick merged with Hölters & Elsing to provide expanded geographic coverage to their clients by combining Hölters & Elsing’s three offices in Germany (located in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt) with Orrick’s offices located throughout North America, Asia and Europe. In 2011 Orrick opened an office in Munich.
