He works with founders at every stage, from early formation through financing rounds and acquisitions, delivering practical legal solutions tailored to the unique challenges of growing businesses.
Rajan represents a wide variety of technology companies across consumer internet, software, fintech, climatetech, blockchain, edtech and healthtech industries. He also advises investors and leading venture capital firms on their investments in early and high-growth technology companies.
Prior to joining Orrick, Rajan developed extensive experience in corporate law and venture capital transactions at Kirkland & Ellis and Gunderson Dettmer, focusing on complex financing and M&A transactions.
Rajan is a proud Oregonian who earned his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law and his bachelor's degree in Japanese and International Studies from the University of Oregon.

Amisha R. Patel Partner

Amisha partners closely with in-house counsel to develop litigation and communications strategies that advance clients’ business objectives while mitigating downstream legal and reputational risk. She has achieved outstanding results – both in and outside of the courtroom – for clients across the technology, finance, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals industries.
Her practice includes all aspects of class action and civil litigation in state and federal courts, including appeals, as well as private arbitration, mass arbitrations, and mediation. She has also represented companies and individuals before various regulatory and enforcement agencies, including the DOJ and SEC.
Amisha leverages her courtroom experience to advise clients on mitigating litigation risk, particularly on the use of tracking technologies, cookies and pixels. She is particularly well-versed in issues relating to consumer consent.
Amisha maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration and civil rights issues.
She previously taught at The George Washington University Law School as an adjunct professor in the Scholarly Writing Program.
