Professional Support Lawyer

Mollie is a professional support lawyer supporting the corporate team in monitoring and analysing legal, practice and market developments, capturing and managing the group's know-how, developing precedent documentation, as well as preparing and delivering legal education and training.

Mollie has a broad corporate background with wide ranging transactional and advisory experience in public takeovers, private M&A, joint ventures, group restructurings and corporate governance and in particular in advising companies (both domestic and international), as well as investment banks, on IPOs and fundraisings on the London Stock Exchange's Official List and AIM Market.

Prior to joining Orrick in June 2011, Mollie was a senior associate in the corporate department of K&L Gates LLP and was previously an associate at Slaughter and May where she trained and qualified.

Mollie’s representative experience includes:
  • Acting for the founder and majority shareholder of a leading financial adviser on the sale of its shares to a global private equity house.
  • Advising on the recommended takeover of a UK retail group by a subsidiary of a Hong Kong based conglomerate.
  • Acting for the subsidiary of a global oilfield services corporation on its US$280 million disposal of an oil and gas support services group to its management team, involving more than 25 jurisdictions.
  • Acting for a leading global mobile handset manufacturer on its acquisition of a digital multimedia delivery company.
  • Advising a US clean water and antimicrobial technology company on its US$80 million institutional placing (including a US$30 million vendor placing) and admission to the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market.
  • Advising on the first ever share for share takeover of an AIM company by a Japanese company using Japanese paper and which included the production of the first ever document equivalent to a prospectus in the UK.
  • Acting for a leading global provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology on its placing and admission to the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market, on various M&A transactions and on its subsequent redomiciliation to the Republic of Ireland.
