Ms. Melanie Ball, an associate in the London office, is a member of the European Litigation Group.

Ms. Ball's focus is financial institution regulatory practice and specialises in advisory and contentious work for financial institutions with particular emphasis on the following. 

  • Advisory work: supervisory inquiries, strategic advice, new business set-up, new product structuring, compliance systems, manuals and processes, conduct of business advice, internal investigations, training and preparation for regulatory visits/interviews, corporate transaction support and commercial and employment advice.
  • Contentious work: exchange and regulatory investigations, enforcement cases, financial services disputes, employment disputes and general commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Orrick in 2012, Melanie worked in an advisory role at Morgan Stanley and was a leveraged finance solicitor at DLA Piper UK LLP.
