Mark Levie currently serves as Senior Counsel to the firm, resident in the San Francisco office, after 29 years as a partner and 35 years at the firm, during which he held various leadership positions, including Managing Partner for the firm in 2011, Managing Director for Orrick's Transactional Practices for five years, and Chair of the Structured Finance Group (now part of Global Finance) for 15 years.  He also served 24 years as a member of the firm's Board of Directors (formerly the Executive Committee).  Mr. Levie is a member of the firm's corporate and global finance practices.  He has been active in structured finance and financial markets since the first transactions in 1977.  He has extensive experience in the fields of corporate law and corporate securities law, including such areas of corporate finance as equity and debt offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Levie currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Legal Aid Society - Employment Law Center, and previously served as Treasurer of the San Francisco Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights.
