Jeffrey Nisbet is a corporate associate in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. He works as a member of the Technology Transactions & Global Sourcing team on licensing issues, complex commercial and technology transactions, as well as intellectual property matters for both emerging and mature companies.
Before his arrival at Orrick, Mr. Nisbet worked in-house at Logitech, a global hardware manufacturer, where he was responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements related to product development for digital audio products, headphones, speakers, wireless webcams, gaming peripherals, advanced remote control devices, and other computer and tablet peripherals. He was also involved in developing and implementing internal data privacy initiatives.
While in law school, Mr. Nisbet was a law clerk at an intellectual property boutique, where he worked to monetize patent portfolios covering technologies within the telecommunications and electronics sectors, including VoIP, HD Voice, IVR, medical imaging, LEDs, optical discs, flash drive housings, home automation devices, bounce flash devices, and others.
Mr. Nisbet was a summer associate at Paul Hastings LLP in New York and at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in Tokyo.
Prior to law school, Mr. Nisbet gained a wide range of experience in the book publishing industry.
