Jacob Albertson, a managing associate in Orrick’s New York office, is a member of the Litigation Group. Mr. Albertson’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including in matters involving intellectual property, securities, auditor liability, and commercial contracts. Mr. Albertson has represented clients in federal and state courts and in investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the New York Attorney General.
In pro bono matters, Mr. Albertson has served as a first-chair trail attorney in New York state court, and has represented clients in federal civil rights and habeas proceedings in New Jersey and New York, including a successful argument before the District of New Jersey which resulted in his client’s immediate release from incarceration.
Before joining Orrick, Mr. Albertson was an associate at Kairys, Rudovsky, Messing & Feinberg, LLP, a leading civil rights and criminal defense law firm in Philadelphia.
