Alexis Marraud des Grottes, partner in Orrick's Paris office, is a member of the M&A and Capital Markets Groups.
His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities and stock exchange regulations, and corporate law, including transactional and litigation work. He has also developed an experience in restructuring.
He advises and represents French and international listed and non-listed companies, commercial and investment banks, private equity and hedge funds and managers and families.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Marraud des Grottes was an associate at Rambaud Martel, and before that he was an intern at the Conseil des marchés financiers (now AMF, French Financial Market Authority), Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier and Ernst & Young Transaction Services (Valuation and Fairness Opinion Department).
In 2007, he worked in the San Francisco and New York offices of Orrick.
Mr. Marraud des Grottes published a number of books (as author or co-author) including Legal Practice Guide Corporate M&A - French chapter, Chambers & Partners 2014 and 2013; Takeover bids, Litec Droit 360° in 2009; Shareholders in Reorganization Transactions, ANRT 2003 and articles on such topics, including, "The New Scope of Independent Financial Valuation," Option Finance, May 2005; "Managers, Management and Their Entourage Under Market Control," Droit et Patrimoine, March 2005; "Securities, Stocks and Shares: the Decree Implementing the Order of 24 June 2004 Has at Last Been Published," Option Finance, February 2005 and "Valuation: The Scope of "Regulated" Independent Valuations," Option Finance, October 2004.
He also hosted numerous conferences and trainings on securities and corporate law.
